Francisco ‘Frisky’ Gomez Meraz
OKLAHOMA CITY — A Funeral Mass for Francisco “Frisky” Gomez Meraz, 54, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 12, 2011, at the Howard Harris Funeral Services in Oklahoma City. Private disposition will be in Oklahoma City. Visitation will be at Howard Harris Funeral Services.
Meraz died Sept. 7, 2011, in Oklahoma City. He was born March 13, 1956, in Chihuahua, Mexico.
Meraz enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, going for walks, going to the flea market and playing pool.
Survivors include his daughters Joann Meraz Rosalia Meraz, Cha-Cha Garcia and Edna Garcia; parents Rosalia Gomez and Romon Meraz; and 13 grandchildren.
The family will receive relatives and friends at 422 SW 38 Oklahoma City.
Harrison Golden
BURNTWATER, Ariz. — Funeral services for Harrison Golden, 53, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 12, 2011, at St. John the Evangilist Catholic Church, Houck, Ariz. Father Cormac will officiate. Burial will be in Houck Cemetery. Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, at Rollie Mortuary. Golden died Sept. 5 2011, in Camp Verde, Ariz. He was born Aug. 28, 1958, in Gallup into the Zuni People Clan born for the One Who Walks Around People Clan.
Golden loved kids and team roping, spending time with his family, taming horses and loved going to the rodeo.
Survivors include his son Lasheo Laffero Golden; daughters Chantilly Myrah Golden; parents Mary Ashley Golden; brothers Roger Golden, Wilson, Golden, James Golden Jr. and sisters Ruth Golden, Martina Walker and Lorraine Footracer.
e was preceded in death by James Golden Sr., Dennison Golden and Edison Golden.
Pallbearers wil be Darryle Golden, Calvin W. Footracer, Stewart J. Lewis Sr., Dallas Tabaha, Delbert Tabaha and Denny Golden.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Houck Chapter House.
Alana Erin Toadlena
SAWMILL, Ariz. — Services for Alana Erin Toadlena, 29, will be at 10 a.m. Sept. 12, 2011, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meeting house in Gallup. President Rogar Kenny will officiate. Burial will be at the Tohlakai Family Plot in Tohlakai. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 10 am. on Monday, Sept. 12, 2011, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meeting house in Gallup.
Toadlena died Sept. 8, 2011, in Phoenix. She was born May 21, 1982, in Fort Defiance, Ariz., into the Mexican People Clan for the Bitter Water Clan.
Toadlena graduated from Window Rock High School in 2001. She also attended the University of New Mexico from 2001 until 2002 and Attended SIPI from 2002 until 2004. Toadlena was employed with Navajo Arts and Crafts and the Navajo Nation Fair Office. She loved bead work, attending Window Rock Scouts sports activities, traveling, cooking, and being with family members.
Survivors include her parents Aaron Toadlena and Evelyn Toadlena; brothers Kamrin Toadlena and Kollin Toadlena; sister Erin Toadlena-Pablo and grandparents Rose and Steven Smith and Annie Tsosie.
He was preceded in death by her brother Eric Toadlena; aunt Cornelia Begay, grandfather John Toadlena and grandfather Donald Smith.
Pallbearers will be Victor Cordova, Anthony Kennedy, Daniel Armstrong, Jason Ettsity, Herb Smith and Ryan Smith.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meeting house in Tohlakai.
